Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Payments Centre of Excellence. As the Head of this team, you'll play a critical role in enabling our payments strategy, protecting the bank through specialized risk and governance, and ensuring we're future-ready through the delivery of our payments change agenda in ISO20022 and Accord.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 25 persons, including other senior managers, to deliver high-impact results
  • Provide thought leadership in the payments delivery, financial crime, and governance domains, including at an industry level
  • Collaborate with delivery partners, including Financial Crime, Payments Services, Technology, and Australia division, to drive business outcomes
  • Deliver customer- and channel-focused programs of work for ISO20022 and Accord International Funds Transfer Instruction (IFTI) reporting
  • Transform Transaction Banking's Financial Crime function and uplift, including our Trade Based Money Laundering Transformation agenda
  • Ensure ANZ has a contemporary payments capability to respond to evolving regulatory and external environments
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading large teams and coaching leaders and team members
  • Ability to navigate complex and dynamic accountabilities with composure
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influence skills
  • Passion for delivering results and driving business outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal agility and executive-level communication skills
