Job Title: Practitioner

About the Role

This is a multifaceted role where you will be providing comprehensive support to children, young people, and families in need of assistance with care and well-being. It involves working within a multidisciplinary team as a first point of contact, offering information, advice, and risk assessments to ensure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable individuals.

  • You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals from various partner organisations to provide holistic support services.
  • As a member of our team, you will receive formal supervision from a designated Team Leader, along with additional guidance and support provided by Practice Leaders.
Your Responsibilities

Operating under a matrix management model, you will report daily to a Team Leader from any of the partner organisations within our network. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments and developing effective risk management responses.
  • Supporting families experiencing violence with expert advice, risk checks, and shared leadership.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant professional experience or a related qualification relevant to child and family welfare.
  • An understanding of frameworks such as 'Best Interests', CYFA 2005, Family Violence Protection Act 2008, FVISS, CISS, and MARAM.
  • Demonstrated ability as a practitioner in the child, youth, and family welfare field.
