Job Description: Cluster Manager (Northern Sydney)

We are seeking an experienced Cluster Manager to lead our Northern Sydney region. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance of Black Pepper and Yarra Trail stores in your area, ensuring they meet business objectives and deliver profitable sales.

  • Oversee eight stores, providing customer interaction, people management, visual merchandise management, and inventory control.
  • Develop tactical plans, drive customer service excellence, and mentor your team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, recommending strategies to enhance performance across sales, staff, stock, and systems.
  • Manage employee performance, achieving goal setting and KPI targets, and ensure staff are trained and supported to deliver on team budgets and KPIs.
  • Nurture the growth and development of direct reports, creating a talent pipeline within our retail network.
  • Prepare monthly rosters costed to achieve store budgets.
  • Manage escalated store or customer complaints, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
  • Confidently manage all aspects of the employee life-cycle, including recruitment support.
About You
  • Previous Cluster Management experience in retail, preferably in Australia.
  • A proven track record of delivering results, driving sales, and engaging teams, with expert knowledge of KPIs.
  • Exceptional people management skills, including thorough understanding of performance management.
  • An ability to analyze data, make calculated business decisions, and think creatively to improve performance.
  • A passion for customers, excellent communication skills, and the ability to organize and engage in internal and external events.
  • Good active listening skills, providing an inclusive and supportive environment for the team and peers.
  • The ability to think on your feet and move with a sense of urgency.
  • Availability to work a rotating Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday roster.
