Principal Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our team.
About the Role:
- Perform manual and automated diagnostic testing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our laboratory setting.
- Store and retrieve specimens with precision and care, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict protocols.
- Maintain and operate complex equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of test results, specimen storage, and equipment maintenance, providing valuable insights for quality assurance and improvement.
- Assist with stock control, ensuring timely receipt and distribution of essential supplies.
About You:
- You hold a Diploma of Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating your expertise in laboratory procedures and techniques.
- With previous experience in diagnostic testing, you possess a deep understanding of laboratory workflows and procedures.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills enable you to effectively manage competing priorities and collaborate with colleagues.
- Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you must accurately record and report test results, maintain precise records, and identify areas for improvement.
- Awareness of workplace health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes ensures your work environment is safe and compliant with industry standards.
