Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Trainee to join our Open Space and Recreation Unit for a two-year traineeship. As a Business Administration Trainee, you will work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in business administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment to support the delivery of council services
  • Develop skills in business administration, including financial management, human resources, and project coordination
  • Gain experience working with various software applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures within the Open Space and Recreation Unit
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Completed HSC or equivalent qualification
  • Meet the screening requirement for registration as a Trainee qualification (previous completion of Vocational Training Advisory Board (VTAB) Accredited Certificate II, III or IV may disqualify application for traineeship)
  • Capacity to undertake training to obtain qualification in Certificate IV in Business Administration
  • A keen interest in developing your skills in business administration
  • Some practical relevant work experience and/or knowledge or be undertaking additional relevant learning in the area
  • A passion for the importance of being a team player in a highly team-focused organisation
  • A commitment to completing the required studies
  • A willingness to learn from others to further your career
  • Strong customer service skills with an ability to provide the best quality service to the Central Coast

What We Offer:

  • Salary range: $36,600 - $42,800 per annum
  • Temporary full-time position
