We're seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the daily operations of our palliative care ward.

About the role

As a part-time Clinical Manager, you'll work closely with our exceptional Palliative Care Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses to manage clinical operations and guide our staff within our specialised palliative care unit.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring seamless patient care, effective staffing, and optimal resource allocation.
  • Implementing and maintaining clinical standards and protocols that drive exceptional patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary teams, inspiring a shared commitment to delivering high-quality care that honours the dignity of every patient.
About you

To thrive in this role, you'll possess:

  • A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, ensuring compliance with professional standards and a solid foundation in nursing practice.
  • A management or relevant postgraduate specialty qualification that complements your clinical expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven experience in palliative care nursing or a related field, coupled with a deep understanding of best practices and the complexities of end-of-life care.
  • Strong leadership skills that enable you to inspire, mentor, and motivate a diverse team towards achieving departmental goals and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that are essential for building effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, ultimately promoting a compassionate and supportive atmosphere within our unit.
