We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scientist to join our team at Launceston General Hospital.
The successful candidate will be based in the Biochemistry department and work under general guidance from the Scientist in Charge. The role involves applying professional judgement and scientific specialist knowledge towards performance, analysis and troubleshooting of standard diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform normal professional work and complex or critical laboratory work under professional supervision.
- Apply professional judgement and scientific specialist knowledge towards performance, analysis and troubleshooting of standard diagnostic procedures.
- Forge close professional relationships with interdepartmental teams and confidentially communicate information with requestors and clinical personnel seeking information on samples, results or test related information.
Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service provides pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania.
