Leisure Support Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Activities Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents, planning and implementing person-centered leisure and lifestyle support programs.
As part of our lifestyle team, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of residents through involvement in meaningful activities.
You will work closely with therapists, care teams, and families to develop individualized Activities Plans that integrate into each resident's care plan.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 2 years' experience as an Activities Coordinator or similar role, and a proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate innovative programs related to care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive life history profiles for each resident, capturing their social, emotional, cultural, and spiritual preferences and needs.
- Facilitate sharing of life history information and personal preferences with the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with care teams, residents, and families to develop individualised Activities Plans that integrate into the resident's care plan.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Activities Coordinator or similar role.
- Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate innovative programs related to care services.
- Experience working in a mental health care setting.
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office and IT systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
