**Job Title:**

Internal Control Manager

Overview:

The Audit Manager oversees assurance engagements from planning to completion, supervising staff and building client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the engagement team in planning and executing assurance engagements with excellent client service.
  • Acts as primary liaison between the engagement partner, client, and team.
  • Oversees daily operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting, and concluding.
  • Provides supervision, support, and mentorship to engagement staff.
  • Collaborates with senior managers and partners on client issue resolution.
  • Manages multiple engagements simultaneously with various teams to meet client and internal deadlines.
  • Monitors engagement efficiency throughout the audit process.
  • Assists with billing and collection processes.
  • Develops and maintains staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, training, and career coaching.
  • Maintains knowledge of new accounting pronouncements.
  • Serves as instructor in professional development programs.
  • Maintains confidentiality of the firm and its clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Master's degree in accounting preferred.
  • Current and valid Florida Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in public accounting.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including expertise with US GAAP.
  • Exceptional communication skills for developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management skills, attention to detail, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 40 hours of continuing professional education annually.
