POSITION OVERVIEW
We are excited to announce an opening for a Human Resources Consultant to support our operations. This pivotal role will collaborate with our stakeholders and management to provide essential support for our projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
In this role, you will:
- Thrive in a dynamic work environment, managing a diverse range of responsibilities within a supportive team.
- Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries and issues on-site.
- Lead intricate investigations and assist with negotiations related to Enterprise Agreements.
- Offer guidance, training, and support to operational teams regarding the complete employee lifecycle, including compensation, engagement, policies, procedures, training, employee relations, and performance management.
- Provide expertise in conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, disputes, and investigations.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to deliver comprehensive HR and industrial relations services for the project.
- Assist in the creation, execution, and maintenance of effective people strategies and initiatives.
- Promote and engage in community, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to provide support.
- Advocate for a values-driven approach to HR within the project.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and high-volume workloads effectively.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Experience in human resources within the mining or heavy industry sector is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
