Software Developer Role

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working within a scrum environment, contributing to the development of mobile applications, and participating in process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a scrum team to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality mobile applications.
  • Contribute to identifying process and system improvements for the mobile teams, particularly in native Android Kotlin technologies.
  • Provide analysis and expertise to teams to assist in feature estimations for changes to mobile applications.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Undertake system analysis, solution design, and technical documentation activities with high-quality deliverables.
  • Ensure that proposed technical designs align with application architectural principles.
  • Develop code that meets design specifications or feature criteria, using judgment and communication skills to adapt as needed.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing activities to ensure unit test coverage and provide artifacts for audit compliance.
  • Ensure that application deliverables meet quality requirements defined by the Quality Assurance area.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in an IT discipline.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Android native Kotlin technologies.
  • Experience with mobile development using languages such as Java, Swift, Objective-C or .Net Xamarin is highly regarded.
  • REST Services and Azure knowledge and experience is highly valued.
