About the Role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive cyber security strategy, managing material cyber security risks and enabling business goals.
  • Drive and empower highly technical teams, fostering a visionary and psychologically safe environment to assess risks and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and monitor policies, standards, and tools to manage risks effectively.
  • Ensure new technologies are designed with security embedded from the core and adopted with robust control measures in place.
  • Plan and lead comprehensive assurance activities to test and improve cyber security controls.
  • Oversee compliance reviews, risk management, and response capabilities.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and externally.
  • Provide transparent and impactful reports on risk levels, control effectiveness, and improvement initiatives.

About You

  • A seasoned and strategic leader with strong business acumen and a proven track record in guiding and shaping cyber security initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge in the cyber security and/or enterprise risk management field.
  • Highly proficient in cyber security risk management and familiar with leading cyber security frameworks and standards.
  • Well-versed in current and prevailing legislation and cyber security obligations.
  • Strong understanding of security operations and commitment to driving continuous improvement in key metrics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, risk management, computer science, or cyber security welcome.
