About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Power Systems Engineer to join our team at KBR Inc.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located in Alice Springs, Australia.

About the Job

The successful candidate will oversee the installation and commissioning of generator systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of generator systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What You'll Do

  • Installation and Commissioning: Ensure that generator systems are installed and commissioned according to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of generator systems.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues in generator systems using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations.
  • Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to team members on the proper use and maintenance of generator systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies to restore power quickly and efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience as a generator specialist.
  • Certified Generator Mechanic (CAT certification preferred).
  • Certified OEM Generator Operator (CAT certification preferred).
  • Capable of troubleshooting small and large generators.
  • Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
