Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to lead our project team in the development of civil and structural components for various projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of civil engineering work, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, modify, and evaluate civil components, structures, and processes, utilizing advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to ensure the unique and complex requirements of civil and structural aspects are met, and that projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Analyze problems with conflicting design requirements, and develop creative solutions to ensure project success.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate civil engineering efforts with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, and other functional groups to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Procurement and Subcontract Management: Prepare and manage procurement and subcontract requisition documents, and perform technical bid evaluations to ensure best value for the company.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and assist junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in the mining and metals industry.
  • Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (RPEQ) or equivalent registration.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience as a Civil Engineer, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
