We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Resource Recovery Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Resource Recovery and Waste Services team, you will play a critical role in improving resource recovery rates across the Campbelltown LGA.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination and collect data for analysis.
- Engage with the community to promote resource recovery and reduce contamination.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement strategies to improve resource recovery rates.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve problems and conflicts in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and resolving problems and conflict.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Computer literacy, report writing skills, and strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an effective team.
- Understanding of bin types, waste and recycling streams, kerbside collection service arrangements, and processing and disposal systems.
- Current NSW Class C drivers licence (or motorbike licence).
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption upon commencement.
- Temporary full-time employment (up to 12 months), 38 hours per week.
- Salary from $1,200.00 per week + 9.5% superannuation.
