About the Role

The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development is seeking a Senior GIS Data Manager to lead a small team in the development of foundational datasets, including the maintenance and support of geospatial systems and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in the development of foundational datasets, including the maintenance and support of geospatial systems and data.
  • Ensure data quality, data management, and data governance practices are implemented and maintained.
  • Develop and implement data flow processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data products.
  • Foster a positive team culture and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience working with geospatial data and related software applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing data assets, ensuring quality controls are maintained and metadata is accurately captured and properly curated.
  • Ability to manage team and project tasks and risks to ensure delivery of required outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
