Housekeeping Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of hotel rooms, hallways, common areas, fitness centers, business centers, and restaurants.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and possess a high level of integrity. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning equipment and supplies are in good working order.

  • Cleaning and tidying up hotel rooms, hallways, common areas, fitness centers, business centers, and restaurants
  • Dusting and polishing various surfaces and furniture
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Emptying bins
  • Changing linens and towels and replacing toiletries
  • Collaborating with the housekeeping team to complete the daily cleaning schedule
  • Restocking cleaning supplies in the hand cart
  • Reporting any issues that require maintenance
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1 year of experience in housekeeping
  • A strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • A valid work authorization for Australia
Benefits

This is a casual position offering a competitive hourly rate of $30.13 - $35.48 per hour.

Working Conditions

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials. You must be comfortable working in a busy hotel environment and be able to handle physical demands of the role.
