This role requires a skilled Telehealth Medical Practitioner to deliver high-quality consultations across diverse patient groups. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing clinical assessments, prescriptions and follow-up consults in a digital-first environment.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with nurses and doctor support teams to optimize patient outcomes and service efficiency. They will also be responsible for maintaining complete documentation and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver telehealth consultations using evidence-based practice and innovative approaches.
- Manage clinical assessments, prescriptions (S4 & S8) and follow-up consults efficiently.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to streamline care delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to clinical training, peer education and governance initiatives.
- Operate within a structured roster with peak-hour availability.
Requirements:
- Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification and possess an unrestricted AHPRA registration (Minimum PGY4).
- Have experience in emergency, urgent care, high-volume GP or telehealth settings.
- Be able to manage time effectively and handle 10–15 minute consults (6 patients/hour).
- Familiarity with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulation and medico-legal obligations.
- Possess strong clinical judgment and an evidence-based mindset.
- Be comfortable working with multiple digital platforms and navigating technology efficiently.
- Value team collaboration and patient continuity.
