Steel Fixer Role

Our company is seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join our team in Bundamba. This role involves preparing, positioning, and securing reinforcing steel for precast concrete products.

Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting shop drawings and structural reinforcement details, assembling reinforcement cages according to precise specifications, tying reinforcement components into moulds, checking dimensions, alignment, and clearances before concrete pouring, measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and machinery, maintaining correct spacing and concrete coverage to meet engineering and compliance standards, inspecting completed reinforcement work to ensure accuracy and compliance, and working collaboratively with the team to meet production schedules and deadlines.

This role requires at least 1 year of Steel Fixing experience, a Certificate 3 in Steel Fixing is highly regarded but not mandatory, ability to travel to and from the Bundamba site for daily work, proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and structural reo details, strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, and understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position reinforcing steel for precast concrete products
