As a Marine Test and Evaluation Engineer, you will provide expertise, engineering management, and governance as related to RAN processes for BMT\u2019s defence clients. This role can be based out of Brisbane, Adelaide, and any ports where BMT have a head office.

Key Responsibilities:

\u2022 Provide expertise with Defence Engineering process, specifically related to the Royal Australian Navy.
\u2022 Provide strong Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical/Marine engineering advice to clients and partners for the project.
\u2022 Manage internal and external project stakeholders.
\u2022 Provide technical advice, leadership, and mentoring within the Defence project environment.

Essential Requirements:

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s or higher degree in Engineering (preferably in a relevant field such as Electrical, Mechatronics, or Marine Engineering).
\u2022 Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a Defence/Maritime background.
\u2022 Demonstrated technical leadership skills and experience in managing and mentoring teams.
\u2022 Understanding of the Engineering structure of Navy and associated policies and procedures.
\u2022 Understanding of Seaworthiness requirements.
\u2022 Experience working within the Australian Defence Sector in an Acquisition program.
\u2022 Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
\u2022 Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
\u2022 Current NV1 clearance or ability to obtain.
\u2022 Australian Citizenship is essential.
