Job Opportunity: Plant Machinery Operator

Council seeks a skilled and experienced operator to undertake routine maintenance and construction duties. Key responsibilities include operating various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools, earthmoving equipment, and civil construction plant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a current C Class Driver's Licence (mandatory), and a Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card.

Responsibilities:
  • Servicing minor repairs and performing pre-start inspections on plant machinery;
  • Operating various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools in Construction and Maintenance Works;
  • Operating civil construction plant to the required tolerances with due regard for services.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Requirements:
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence;
  • Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card;
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads.
