Role Overview

The role of Second in Charge is to assist the Director of Service in delivering an exceptional experience for children in our care.

This includes creating and implementing enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children, supporting program compliance, building strong relationships with schools and the wider community, and playing and having fun with primary school aged children.

">Key Responsibilities:Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program (programming)Support the program compliance, ensuring a high quality service that exceeds industry standards.Build strong relationships with the school, including parents & the wider community.Play and have FUN with primary school aged childrenOpportunity to develop your Coordinator skills and take ownership during School Holiday periods.You will also be responsible for assisting with the induction of new team members and providing training and mentoring as needed.Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that align with the company's values and goals.Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualities and qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • ACECQA recognised qualification or willingness to undertake training.
