Campus Healthcare Specialist

The College Nurse plays a vital role in the wellbeing of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary healthcare to the entire College community.
- Care for the physical, psychological, and emotional health and wellbeing of each student.
- Act as an advocate for students and their best health interests.
- Monitor the health status of the College community and take preventative steps or responses as required.
- Provide medical response to accidents and emergencies.
- Undertake triaging, treatment and referral of illness and injury.
- Manage individual medical action plans for students with chronic illnesses.
- Encourage and support parents/carers in managing identified health-related problems.
- Act as a resource member to the Wellbeing Team, supporting health counselling and education activities.
- AHPRA registered Nurse with experience in a paediatric or education setting.
- Substantial clinical skills including triaging, treatment and referrals.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Database).
- Current Working with Children Check.
