About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Chemist to fill a technical position in our Western Australian laboratory.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results to our clients, performing complex analyses, prioritizing work by due dates and urgency.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Performing sample preparation and analysis;
  • Interpreting and reporting results with high accuracy;
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments;
  • Monitoring chemical and consumable stock levels;
  • Supporting junior team members;
  • Assisting with documentation, audits, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Skills and Experiences:

  • A degree in Science (Chemistry or related discipline);
  • 1-2 years of experience in laboratory testing, preferably environmental;
  • Strong practical experience with GC-MS/LC-MS operation and data interpretation;
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and independent working skills;
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative approach to working within technical teams;
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
