About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Operations Specialist to join our Investment Services and Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational management and support to our Asset Management business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • On-board investment managers on custodial accounts
  • Assist in the execution, maintenance, and management of documentation related to foreign market account opening
  • Manage internal stakeholders' expectations of the onboarding timeline
  • Liaise with the legal team on matters regarding foreign market account opening
  • Monitor foreign market compliance
  • Maintain Powers of Attorney & Authorisations Register
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation
  • Administer proxy voting processes to ensure accurate and correct casting of votes
  • Initiate and implement areas for process improvement
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience with knowledge of the investment management industry, with strong experience in investment operations, documentation, and/or compliance
  • Experience with regulatory monitoring (ASIC/APRA), investment and performance analysis, and due diligence
  • Good understanding of global markets account opening requirements and procedures
  • Ideal experience in negotiations of legal documents and risk and compliance management relating to the asset/investment management industry
  • Audit or internal audit experience at a custodian or fund manager, with an understanding of controls review
  • Strong organisational and attention to detail skills
  • Continuous improvement and aptitude to develop a broad range of skills
  • Critical thinking and investigation skills
  • Disciplined record keeping and systematising skills
