Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing accounting advice and research, with a strong focus on complex and unusual accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting advice and research to support the Technical Accounting Manager and External Reporting Managers.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and be involved in key projects, providing sound accounting judgement, estimates and advice.
  • Review contracts as part of the internal contract review process, to identify any accounting risks and provide accounting sign-off.
  • Support the Group External Reporting Manager at half-year and year-end, to ensure timely and accurate Statutory reporting.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear accounting and reporting advice.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently to resolve complicated accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Previous exposure to a Group Finance role or prior experience in a managerial role within a Big 4 / Mid-tier auditing firm.
  • Degree in a business-related discipline and accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent.
  • Ability to research and provide relevant technical guidance to solve complex accounting problems.
