About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to shape the cultural and social infrastructure for our city. As a strategic leader, you will drive the development and delivery of our plans, placing our community at the forefront of what we do.

You will lead key initiatives including the Social Plan, Creativity Strategy, Library Strategy, Halls & Facilities Strategy, Disability Inclusion Action Plan, and Reconciliation Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a vision for the pro-active and positive development of our cultural and social infrastructure
  • Build relationships both internally and externally, utilizing effective influencing, consultation, communication and negotiation skills to achieve business and organisational outcomes
  • Work on policy and strategy development and implementation through research, analysis and conceptual thinking
  • Lead projects with broad professional elements and diverse outcomes

About You

We are looking for a person with relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in an associated area, such as community development, cultural and social infrastructure planning, town planning, social sciences, economics, commerce, infrastructure advisory, or business management.

You should be able to think outside the square, inspiring collaboration whilst developing a multi-disciplinary team.
