Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Professional to join our team.

The successful candidate will have expertise in building-related technical and compliance matters, with the ability to provide expert advice and undertake tasks on a range of projects and programs.

  • Contribute to the development of professional standards, objectives, and priorities for building-related programs and services.
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve complex issues and support the effective management of assigned assets and systems.
  • Lead and manage complex projects, including resource planning, setting work priorities, and motivating teams to achieve performance standards.

To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Capacity to work collaboratively to build cooperation, implement change, mitigate risk, and encourage open communications.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder perspectives, utilise effective verbal and written communication skills, and drive solutions to complex challenges.
  • Well-developed analytical and research skills to evaluate and analyse complex faults and information, provide specialised professional advice, and develop clear reports with recommendations.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A recognised degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as architecture, engineering, building surveying, construction management, or related discipline.
  • Accreditation (or eligibility) as an Accredited Professional in South Australia.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National and State-based statutory instruments that form part of the Building Rules in SA.
