Lead Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our Brisbane Structures team. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects and the future work pipeline, interfacing with key clients, conducting business development activities, and developing and mentoring a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and future work pipeline within the team
  • Interface with key clients and conduct business development activities
  • Develop and mentor a team of engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland
  • At least 15 years of demonstrated experience in structural engineering
  • Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
  • Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes
  • Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects, and communicating with clients
  • An innovative approach to solutions and designs
  • Ability to critically assess and review designs by others
  • Ability to develop their own team and client base
  • Ability to secure new business with support from the Structures Team
