Lead Battery Energy Storage Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to spearhead the design of high-performing battery energy storage systems across residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and off-grid markets.

This role requires strong technical expertise in system modelling, feasibility studies, and customer presentations. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering solar and/or battery projects in C&I or off-grid environments and be proficient in tools such as Orkestra and Gridcog.

The successful candidate will work closely with key accounts to understand customer needs, site conditions, and project challenges, providing pre-sales technical support and collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are viable and optimised.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop battery energy storage systems that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Partner with sales teams to provide technical expertise and support for EPCs and large solar installers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic models to ensure solutions are commercially competitive.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including BOMs, pricing analysis, SLDs, layouts, and schematics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years' experience delivering solar and/or battery projects in C&I or off-grid environments.
  • Background in EPC project design, delivery, or commissioning.
  • Proficiency in system modelling tools (Orkestra, Gridcog, or similar).
