Animal Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled Animal Care Professional to join our team at a Veterinary Compounding Pharmacy dedicated to advancing veterinary medicine.

About the Role

As an Animal Care Professional, you will be responsible for conducting start-of-day procedures, compounding medications using standard formulas and processes, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance and security protocols.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily routines prior to commencing work
  • Prepare medications using established formulas and methods
  • Maintain accurate records of scripts and ensure compliance with in-house guidelines
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous chemicals
  • Clean and maintain equipment as required

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping animals
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a dispensary, laboratory or related setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prior experience in pharmacy is highly desirable
  • Superb communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Able to adapt to and drive change in a dynamic environment
