About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Painting Craftsman to join our team at ASSA ABLOY in Forest Glen, QLD.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a professional Painter and possess strong knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools for each job.
  • Repair and fill cracks, holes, and other imperfections before painting.
  • Mix and match paints to ensure accurate colours.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and organized before and after the job.
About You
  • Proven experience as a professional Painter.
  • Strong knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The ability to read and write, along with arithmetic skills, is crucial.
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate basic machinery.
Benefits
