About the Position

As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for delivering pragmatic business-focused security services and providing expert guidance on various security matters.

This hands-on technical role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity operations and have experience working in similar teams or a willingness to learn quickly. You will work closely with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider to enhance operational efficiencies and configure/optimise the Security Information Event Management (SIEM) system.

Your primary responsibilities will include responding to incidents, handling requests, developing and refining cyber incident response strategies, playbooks, and threat-hunting activities. You will also contribute to the effective delivery of various operational services within the Cyber Security and Risk team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Experience working in Cyber Operations teams or significant drive to quickly learn and adopt cybersecurity operations processes
  • Experience with security tools such as enterprise vulnerability detection, email security, or endpoint protection
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and curiosity in problem-solving while using a methodological approach to understanding root cause
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills together with proven negotiation skills
  • Proven experience across relevant technologies such as Endpoint security (AV, EDR etc), Email Security, Firewall/Web Application Firewall, Microsoft Azure, SIEM tools, Experience with Linux, Windows servers, Active Directory, Networking (routing, DNS, DHCP), Scripting PowerShell
