Home Care Support Role

This role is ideal for a compassionate and empathetic individual who wishes to make a positive impact on people's lives.

The Home Care Support Worker will provide support to individuals with disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing in Dubbo. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred care and support to clients.

As a casual opportunity, this role offers a variety of shift times available, including morning, daytime, and evening shifts. You'll have the chance to work with a diverse range of people and create an inclusive community where everyone can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care and support to clients with disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household tasks
  • Encouraging independence and promoting a sense of autonomy among clients
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised plans
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory)
  • A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check (less than 12 months old) and Working with Children Check
  • Manual handling training desirable
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Willingness to work flexible hours on a fortnightly roster
  • Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
