The Department of Education, Western Australia seeks a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Principal to lead our school community in achieving academic excellence.

With a strong focus on student-centered learning, we are looking for an individual who can provide effective leadership, foster positive relationships, and promote a culture of innovation and collaboration.

This permanent full-time position commences Term 1, 2025, and offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $142,796 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional leader who can:

  1. Support the Principal in leading a school environment that excels in caring for its students and their families
  2. Foster positive relationships and partnerships with students, staff, and the broader school community
  3. Promote, model, and maintain high expectations and lead evidence-based whole-school approaches in teaching, learning, and instruction
  4. Lead and support others to create conditions for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, resulting in improved student outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A strong educational background, preferably with experience in leading instructional strategies and special education needs planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • High-level professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure high educational outcomes for all students
