Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our team at Strathtulloh Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and learning programs to achieve specific student outcomes, engaging in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, and contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
  • Undertaking other classroom teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
  • Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;
  • Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching and demonstrate behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values. You will also need to have a strong understanding of the relevant curriculum and the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
