Teaching Opportunity in a Supportive School Environment

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Classroom Teacher to join our team at a State School in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. As a Primary Classroom Teacher, you will work alongside a team of educators who pride themselves on engaging students and creating a happy and comfortable learning environment. Our school actively promotes the safety and well-being of all students and is committed to providing students with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to be effective members and leaders of society.

The role involves teaching and mentoring students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve academic excellence. We are looking for a teacher who is committed to continuous improvement, best practice teaching and learning, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor students in a Primary classroom setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic excellence and improve student outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture

Requirements:

  • VIT registration or in the process of obtaining
  • Empathy and compassion in the classroom
  • Graduates welcome
  • Demonstrated competence in classroom management
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, best practice teaching and learning, and innovation
  • Ability to effectively engage with parents and staff in the interests of students

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in education or equivalent qualification(s)
  • Hold VIT registration or be eligible
  • Full working rights for Australia
