About the Role

We are seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to join our team for a fixed-term contract.

  • The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient workflows.
  • Collaborating with the HRIS project team, they will test, migrate, and implement new system features effectively.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to system upgrades and process improvements while supporting payroll operations.

You will play a key role in day-to-day payroll operations, contributing your expertise in system implementation and process improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with the HRIS project team to test, migrate, and implement new system features effectively.
  2. Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and ensuring workflows remain efficient and streamlined.
  3. Providing confident support for payroll-related inquiries.
  4. Assisting with fortnightly and monthly payroll processing with accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Maintaining up-to-date employee records, including onboarding, terminations, and leave management.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in system implementation or configuration, with a focus on adaptability, teamwork, and process enhancement.
  • A strong understanding of employment laws and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in accurate payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication skills - whether working with people or data, you convey information clearly and confidently.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Employment Hero software is advantageous but not essential.
