Job Title: Pipeline Technician

A pipeline technician is a crucial professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines that transport oil, natural gas, or other fluids.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the pipelines are operating efficiently and safely. This involves performing regular inspections to identify potential issues or defects.

Pipeline technicians must possess technical skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on pipelines, valves, pumps, compressors, and other equipment.
  • Inspect pipeline systems for leaks, corrosion, and other defects using specialized tools such as cameras and gauges.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems in pipeline systems.
  • Perform pipeline pigging operations and collect samples for analysis.
  • Operate and maintain pipeline equipment safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders, including customers and regulatory agencies.
