About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Compactor Operator to join our Waste and Cleansing team at Parramatta City Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of plant, including garbage compactors, to ensure the efficient collection and disposal of waste.
  • Undertake a range of tasks to ensure the long-term management, condition, and usability of assets and facilities under the care of the team.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed to assist other teams and operational areas.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role and experience in the safe operation and maintenance of waste compactors.
  • Adaptability and ability to provide a great customer experience for our community.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver's License (Class MR) and a construction industry certificate 'White Card'.
  • Hold a current TCR Traffic Control ticket or the ability and willingness to obtain.
  • Asbestos Awareness or the ability and willingness to obtain.
