Relief Operator

City of Parramatta have a 6-month term contract opportunity.

Working as the Relief operator, you are responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensures Parramatta’s Public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city

**About the role**

Working as the Relief operator, you are responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensures Parramatta’s Public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and to promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake inspections to the public domain and assets
- Implementing work practices in line with waste and cleansing industry
- Previous experience operating a high-pressure cleaning unit pressure cleaning pavementOperating Mechanical Street Sweepers, Garbage Rear loading Compactors and operating a high-pressure cleaning unit pressure cleaning pavement

**Hours**:Monday-Friday between 6am-2.30pm.

You will be starting and finishing at Council's Rydalmere Operations Depot or Council's Wentworth Street Compound Parramatta as required

**About You**:
You will bring the following:

- Relevant experience in a similar role and operational environment
- Competent understanding of small and heavy plant operations applicable to Cleansing Services.
- Hold a current NSW MR Drivers license
- White Card
- Hold a current (TCR, IMP) traffic controller
- _or willingness to obtain _
- The capability to undertake the physical requirements of the role and area of specialisation.
- Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team

**What’s on offer**

This is a 6-month term contact opportunity.

This position is a Grade 3 in Councils Salary Structure from $63,897 to $70,362 plus 11.5% superannuation.

This position may attract additional shift penalties and allowance in accordance with the Local Government Award 2023.
