Business Development Manager Job Description

A Business Development Manager is sought to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored transport and logistics solutions across the Transport, Logistics, and Supply Chain sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through industry networking and lead generation.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients while delivering exceptional service and ensuring seamless delivery of transport and logistics solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate rates, and manage tenders in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.
  • Achieve sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role within the Transport / Logistics / Freight Forwarding industry.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and ability to generate leads.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-focused.
