About the Role

We are seeking an experienced claims professional to join our team as an Express Claims Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing low complexity workers compensation claims from start to finish.

Your focus will be on resolving claims promptly by developing effective strategies, providing regular status updates, and communicating proactively with customers to ensure a positive experience.

  • Claims Management: Oversee end-to-end claims activities, ensuring smooth and timely resolution.
  • Liability Assessment: Gather facts, apply relevant laws, and issue appropriate notices and correspondence for new and ongoing claims.
  • Data Accuracy: Capture and update claims information in line with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Zurich Governance: Ensure all claims activities meet Zurich's governance requirements, policies, procedures, and relevant workers compensation legislation.
  • Customer Communication: Provide regular updates and support to customers, ensuring they feel informed and cared for throughout their claim.
  • Medical Coordination: Organize medical examinations and investigations to help customers return to work.
  • Team Support: Assist with workload by helping colleagues with administrative tasks, updating records, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in team projects, follow established procedures, and seek guidance when needed to maintain high quality and consistency.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: You have managed end-to-end claims, including assessing liability, gathering information, and working towards timely resolution. Ideally, you bring 1–2 years' experience handling workers compensation claims.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant workers compensation legislation, policies, and compliance requirements is an advantage.
  • Customer Focus: You have a background in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on delivering positive experiences and effective communication.
  • Analytical Skills: You can analyse information, interpret legislation, and make well-informed decisions.
  • Professional Skills: You have experience working in a professional office environment, demonstrating strong computer literacy, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Teamwork: Working as a team player means actively supporting your team members and team manager.
