About the Role

The Philanthropy Manager plays a critical role in stewarding and expanding the major gift program. They are responsible for a national portfolio of high-value donors and giving circles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an existing portfolio of high-value national donors.
  • Nurture and cultivate relationships with existing mid-value donors, using the CRM to engage with those who can increase their support.
  • Communicate, influence, and engage supporters at all levels.
  • Research existing supporters to identify and qualify new donors.
  • Meet targets to identify new prospects and networks for portfolio growth.
  • Strategically steward donors through the donor journey, using various channels.
  • Work with high-value giving circles to retain and grow membership.
  • Organise small engagement events, meetings, or experiences to steward donors.
  • Manage the donor journey from relationship building to the ask.
Essential Skills
  • An ambitious fundraiser with experience in relationship fundraising roles.
  • A background in building long-lasting donor relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing.
  • Experience in providing excellent stewardship and acquiring new supporters.
  • Proficient in developing written communications to a high standard.
  • Excellent administration skills and confidence across CRMs and systems.
