Job Description

The Production Engineering Lead is a key role within the SSA Engineering organisation, providing expert shipbuilding and production engineering support to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

  • Technical guidance and performance oversight are provided to Production Engineers to ensure adherence to approved procedures, processes, and scope of work.
  • Maintenance activities are overseen to guarantee they align with established protocols.
  • Collaboration occurs between various teams, including Supply Chain, Program Engineering Design, Austal, Production, Quality, and Accuracy Control to deliver production scope effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements for the Role:
  • A relevant engineering qualification with direct shipbuilding experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a front-line management and supervisory role.
  • Minimum 5+ years Shipbuilding design experience.
