The Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Minecraft Animator who can use McHorse's Blockbuster and Aperture mods to animate vanilla and non-vanilla storyboards and scripts, bringing them to life while integrating content that is relevant and up-to-date with the latest trends in Children's, Minecraft, Internet, and Popular Culture.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Animate in the 'Vanilla' style, using custom camera paths via Aperture and from first-person perspective, creating animations that cannot be differentiated from standard Minecraft gameplay.
- Animate in the 'Vanilla' style, incorporating unrealistic and 'meme' elements to enhance viewer engagement.
- Animate in the 'Clean' style, a stylized, cartoon animation style.
- Analyze key YouTube metrics and analytics to determine successful content elements and identify areas for improvement.
- Take initiative and improve on the script and instructions given, either by enhancing the animation, cameras, or adding in additional background elements as 'Easter Eggs' for additional points of engagement.
Requirements
- Full and in-depth understanding of vanilla and modded Minecraft.
- Experience and moderate understanding of McHorse's Blockbuster and Aperture Mod.
- Experience with creating and animating custom models.
- Experience with animating facial expressions and rigs in Blockbuster.
- Ability to meet and understand deadlines.
- Ability to understand feedback and act on it.
- Preferable Additional Skills:
- Experience using Replay Mod.
- Experience with NPC mods, including CustomNPCs, CosmicNPCs, etc.
- Experience with machinima filmmaking without Blockbuster in versions.
