About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic team in Elsternwick. As an Optometrist with our practice, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
  • Support procedures in our on-site laser suite, contributing to precise, patient-focused care.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, to maintain a smooth clinic operation.
  • Support clinical trials through data gathering and other administrative tasks.

Work Schedule: We require a commitment of 19 hours per week across three weeks each month. Occasionally, this may increase to up to 22.5 hours to meet higher patient demand or cover team leave. Flexibility is key to supporting our growing projects and team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • A desire to develop expertise in refractive surgery.
  • Flexibility to manage occasional heavier workloads.
  • Prior experience is valued but not essential.
