Improve Heart Health Outcomes for Indigenous Communities
About the RoleCulturally Safe, Evidence-Based Heart Health Education and Support for Indigenous Peoples in South Australia.
Project Management: Deliver the First Nations Heart Health Project South Australia project with excellence.
Partnership Building: Engage with and foster strong connections and partnerships to support better health outcomes for Indigenous people.
Resource Development: Develop and deliver culturally appropriate resources, education, and training to promote First Nations heart health resources.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver key reports both internally and to stakeholders.
Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate across functions and with external stakeholders to integrate and translate research, evidence, and insights into programs and activities.
Representation: Attend key events and meetings to contribute to policy, advocacy, and development activities in Indigenous health.
- Project planning and management
- Program development and delivery
- Cultural understanding and sensitivity
- Community engagement and partnership building
- Training and education resource development
- Report preparation and delivery
- Experience in a health-related field or equivalent
- Knowledge or experience in community development or health-related fields, lived experience advantageous
- Demonstrated cultural understanding and sensitivity
- Ability to travel to communities across South Australia, potential interstate travel
- Consultative approach promoting participation, cross-collaboration, partnership, and innovation
