About the RoleThe Victoria University Council is responsible for the strategic direction, mission, business plan, reviewing management and performance, and monitoring risk, academic activity, and significant commercial initiatives. As a member of the Council, you will work with an inclusive and diverse group of individuals to drive the university's success.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of the university's strategic direction and mission
- Review and monitor the performance of the Vice-Chancellor and other senior executives
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on governance and public administration matters
- Work collaboratively with the Council to drive the university's success
To be considered for this appointment, you will have a demonstrated history of community, industry, and commercial engagement, as well as a passion for contributing to and transforming TAFE and higher education. You will also have the governance and public administration background needed to add technical expertise to the Victoria University Council.
