Financial Reporting Specialist

The role of Financial Reporting Specialist is a pivotal position in our organization's financial operations. It involves preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and external funding requirements.

This key role will work closely with the Financial Accounting Manager to achieve this objective. The responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting financial statements, acquittals and subsidiary reports on time.
  • Ensuring that all financial reports adhere to accounting standards and external funding regulations.
  • Providing technical accounting advice to staff members, including guidance on revenue recognition.
  • Completing reconciliations, journals and schedules for financial reporting purposes.
  • Supporting colleagues in their development and training in financial processes and systems.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess strong technical accounting skills, particularly in month-end procedures. A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or working towards it is desirable. In addition, excellent communication skills are essential for partnering effectively across business units. A proactive, detail-focused approach, combined with comfort working under tight deadlines, is also necessary.
